Meet Tkis Friday A special invitation to Democrat ic women of Halifax County was extended this week to attend the Institute of Government for wom en at Raleigh this Friday by Ruth Burke of La Grange, vice chair man and secretary of the 2nd Dem ocratic Executive Committee. The meeting wili be held at the State Capitol from 10:30 A. M. to 1P.M. with J. M. Broughton and other speakers. Mrs. Hoey will en tertain the ladies at the Governor's mansion with tea from 3 to 6. Buried Today Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Neal, 80, were held in the home at 209 Monroe Street this afternoon at 4 with the Rev. Daniel lane officiating. Interment was in the Roanoke Rapids Cemetery. Mr*. Neal died Tuesday night at 7 pjn. Survivors are two daughter*, Mrs. Jim Tanner and Mrs. Martha Aycock, both of Roanoke Rapid*? a son, Joe Neal of the city; W grandchildren and 13 great-grand children.
