WHITE—COLE Miss Kara Reid Cole became the bride of Howard Vernon White Thursday afternoon, October 9, al 4:30 o’clock in the Baptist Church the Rev. E. Nortlet Gardner of Henderson, officiating. Native greenery, fern, white chrysanthemums and cathedral candles formed a setting for the ceremony. Mrs. E. L. Crawley played a mu sical program. Miss Frances Har rison of Henderson sang. Tradi tional wedding marches were used. Just before the bridal party en tered, Moses L. Cole, Jr., and W. B. White of Charlotte lighted the candles. Ushers were Dr. C. H. White, Dr. J. H. Wheeler, y Robert Faulker, all of Henderson, and Dr. Evans Coleman, of Wise. Miss Mary Faucette Ricks was maid of honor and the only at tendant. White, brother of the bridegroom. The bride wore a blue wool costume suit, trimmed with blue fox, hat to match and black accessories. Her flowers were white orchids. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cole of Littleton. The bridegroom is the son of the late J. J. White and Mrs. White. He and his brother are proprietors of White Brothers Drug Company in Henderson. Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. White left for a trip to points unannounced. The couple will make their home in Henderson. Immediately after the White— Cole wedding rehearsal Wednes day night, Mr. and Mrs. Moses L. Cole entertained at a cake-cutting. Those present were members of the bridal party, out-of-town guests and several of the bride’s friends from Littleton. ENTERTAIN Miss Mary Faucette Ricks and Mrs. Edward Hall entertined at the home of Mrs. Hall’s last Fri day evening, honoring Mrs. H. V. White, who before her recent mar riage was Miss Kara Reid Cole. Bridge was played at seven ta bles. High score prize was won by Mrs. E. L. Crawley. Low score prize by Mrs. D. W. McPherson. Traveling prize was won by Mrs. B. L. Reives.
