Patterson Recreation
By MARGARET BUTLER
The Patterson Recreation Club
closed for a few days but it is
now opened again, and we are get
ting ready for the coming year.
Plans are being made for more
and better games and improve
ment on all recreation so that ev
eryone will enjoy themselves.
Mr. Hall already has several
ygfy amusing and entertaining
games that I am sure you will en
joy, and due to the fact that there
isn’t enough room in the club tc
keep some of the games out, Mr
Hall is keeping them put away
For those desiring to use the
games, “just see Mooney.” He
might even want to play with you
Bingo will get underway again
this Saturday night and there has
been a large selection of very
lovely, useful, and entirely differ
ent prizes gathered up by Moon
ey to give away. These things
are really worth playing for and
I know that you will be very
pleased to win one or more of
these gifts. You not only have
fun playing bingo, but just listen
ing to the conversations that are
carried on by Curt Gore and his
friend, Charlie Moore. Why, they
will make any sourpuss there
laugh. There isn’t a dull moment
when you are around such people.
You can give Lizzie Shearin a big
hand in the fun making, too, be
cause she can put spirit into a
tin soldier. Now remember, Sat
urday night, 8:30 o’clock, at Pat
terson Club. You will surely have
a complete evening of fun.
This Tuesday night the ping
pong teams will again meet. Thio
is a four team league with Rose
mary still on top. Tom Killebrew
says that he thinks that these
boys from Patterson Town will be
right in there with Rosemary from
now on. “Santa Claus must hava
brought Tom that new paddle he
asked for". Anyway, Tom, good
luck to you and the other ping
pong lads.
Did you have a Merry Xmas?
Russell Wrenn says that his could
have been much better if he had
gotten that “blonde bomber1. Say,
where were you, Snag?
Katie Fanney says that she naa
more Xmas spirit this year than
ever before. Yep, me too, says
Curt, every bit of two gallons.
Well 1 had a couple of days of
spirit too, “Curt,” but it wasn’t m
gallons.

We welcome all the boys home,
from Fort Jackson. The Patter
son Club is opened to you and
the showers are ready for you to
use. Come over and enjoy your
selves. Well, see you at the club.
