War Bonds Sold
By Weldon PCA
According to B. N. Capel, Sec
retary, the Weldon Production
Credit Association has recently
qualified as an issuing agent for
war bonds.
The association serves the fol
lowing counties: Halifax and
Northampton. Members of the
Board of Directors are: W. E.
Smith, W. J. Long, J. M. Person,
H. S. Ellis and L. W. Hedspeth.
“Our association has been selling
war stamps to members and other
farmers for some time,” Mr. Capel
declared. “We are glad of the
opportunity to be of additional
service to the farmers and others
in our territory in issuing the war
bonds as we feel it will be con
venient for them to buy these
bonds from our association.
“Most farmers are receiving
greater farm incomes due to bet
ter prices and increased produc
tion. By investing a part of this
excess income in war bonds and
stamps, they are not only helping
Uncle Sam to finance the war but
are helping themselves by build
ing up their own financial security
for the future.”
