LITTLETON Miss Beth Parten of Greenville visited her mother last week end. Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Bonney and Mrs. Willis Harvey shopped in Ra leigh Friday. Miss Emma Bonney spent a few days here last week with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Bonney. Mrs. C. W. Bass of Weldon was the guest of her mother, Mrs. Sam King, last week. Robert Patterson of State Col lege, Raleigh, was here at his home for the week end. Jimmie Meade of Newport News, Va., spent Thursday in Littleton. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Edmonds and daughters, Barbara Ann and Mary Jane, of Roanoke Rapids spent the week end with Mrs. Ed monds’ father, Turner Threewitts. Edward Riggan attended the Duke-State football game in Dur ham last Saturday. Mrs. W. T. Threewitts spent sev eral days last week in Norfolk, Va., with her sister, Mrs. Eddie Dorden. Mrs. M. L. Cole spent the week end in Henderson with her daugh ter, Mrs. H. V. White. Miss Mary Dell Harris of Ra leigh spent the week end at her home in Littleton. MRS. TICKLE HOSTESS Mrs. W. H. Tickle was hostess on Thursday evening to her bridge club and additional guests. Mem bers present included Mesdames Loyd Allen, J. P. Little, H. E. Cameron, Rudolph Northington, H. E. Baker, Alton Gurganus and Miss Bernice Hitchens. Guests were Mesdames Calvin Kennemur, A. O. George, M. F. White and Mrs. Robert Greene of Greenville. Mrs. Calvin Kennemur won high guest prize and Miss Bernice Hit chens won high club prize. At re freshment hour Mrs. Tickle served a salad plate with coffee. Mrs. Ira Edmonds and children spent last week end with Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brewer at Charlie Hope, Va. Mrs. W. D. Hollman and Mrs. J. W. Dickie were among out-of town shoppers Friday. Mrs. John Rhem spent the week end with her mother in Fayette ville. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rhone and children have arrived from Moundsville, West Virginia, to make their home here.
