cm mam h mi _ _________mi You hear a lot of talk these days from some merchants who are simply content to shrug their shoulders and murmur something about it being “a seller’s marketwhen they are out of a certain item, but frankly it sounds like a lot of “double talk” to us . . . Of course we know that certain merchandise is hard to get, that in many instances our customers are willing to accept anything they can get, on any terms. BUT, that does not change our attitude to faithful customers who traded with us before the war (and who we believe will be back in the fold of satisfied LEGGETT CUSTOMERS after the war). We love our customers as much as ever today. The latch-string of our store is always 4 out to them, whether they are buying or looking. W^ still continue to offer the hundreds of small “free services” (like cashing your pay check) and will continue to do so, because SERVING OUR CUSTOMERS TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY is still our chief concern. It has always been, and will always be our aim.
