Ray White, Enfield and C. L. Kelly, Littleton, R. F. D. have been named to serve on the panel con trolling tires, autos, bicycles, type writers, rubber footwear, shoes and miscellaneous commodities. The chairman of each panel will constitute the Administrative Board of the Halifax County War Price Rationing Board No. two. Guy W. Rawls, State Organizer of the Office of Price Adminislra ton, will meet wth all the panel 1 members and office personnel at 3:00 o’clock Friday, April 23. 1 Hux stated at the time of an- j nouncing the reorganization that these panels constituted a very serious and necessary part of the 1 rationing program and that he 1 sure that all of the panel members 1 would accept their appointments with a deep sense of obligaton to their government, and would perform their duties in a most cap able and efficent manner. He also announced that P. E. Shields, of Scotland Neck, had been named Chairman to fill the va cancy created by the resignation of W. H. McDowell on Board No. 3. This board has also been re organized and its area covers Scotland Neck, Conoconara, Rosen eath and Palmyra Townships. Mrs. Charlie Dunn, who has been execu tive secretary of the board since its organization, has resigned as executive secretary effective April 30. Succeeding Mrs. Dunn the board recommended to the Raleigh office the employment of Miss Ida Fri vette who left Scotland Neck a few weeks ago to accept a position at Carrboro and this recommendation has been approved.
