BIBLE QUE5Tlmi5i ANSW-eR-eD BY THC VOICE /PROPHECY INTEENATIONAL BIBLE BR.OADCASTER. . ^—ii i . Question—Where was the voice of God first heard by human beings? Answer—By Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:8: "And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: . . Q.—Is it not best to let children grow up as they are and give them religion after they are adults? A.—The Bible says: "Train up a ' child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. 1 Q.—Does the Bible say that a man’s ghost comes back and lives In his home after he is dead? A.—When a man dies, he does not return to his house to live. Accord ing to Job 7:10, “he shall return no snore to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.” Q.—Do the Seven Churches in Revelation 1:11 represent seven de nominations such as Presbyterian, Episcopal, etc.? A.—It is quite clear that they rep resent seven consecutive periods of church history from the days of the apostles to the coming of our Lord. The book of Revelation is dedi cated to these seven cnurcnes t±tev elation 1:4), and its prophecies reach to the end of time. Also, the names of these churches are signif icant and are considered by many to picture conditions existing in each period—for instance: Ephesus (desirable), Smyrna (sweet-smell ing), Pergamos (elevation), Thya tira (contrition), Sardis (that which remains), Philadelphia (bro therly love), Laodicea (judging the people). Q.—To a Christian, is not death the coming of Christ? A.—We read in John 21:21-23: “Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till 1 come, what is that to thee? follow thou Me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren; that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, It 1 will that he tarry till I come, what is 'that to thee?” It is evident from this passage that the disciples regarded death and the coming of Christ as two separate events. His coming is not death, for He comes to raise the dead. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Ed. Note: Address your questions to the BIBLE QUESTION COLUMN, The Voice of Prophecy, Box 55, Los An geles 53, Cali}.
