Decline In
Egg Prices
Farmers’ prices for eggs on
Raleigh markets dropped from
three to five cents per dozen last
week, it is reported by John
Winfield, markets newsman with
the State Department of Agri
culture.
Although the Office of Price
Administration has been lowering
the ceiling on eggs since about the
middle of December, the present
decline in egg prices is the first
resulting from the supply situa
tion in almost a year, according
to Winfield.
He said that producers’ egg
prices on Northern terminal mar
kets have declined from five to
eight cents per dozen within the
past week.

In a world full of maimed sold
iers, wouldn’t it be more decent
to quit using maimed men as
villians?
Let us not pity ignorance; noth
ing else makes people so compla
cent.
