i What Can You Spare? o w 0 ^0 (Druivn for Victory Clothing Collection for Overseas Relief by Paul D. Scouts and Cubs of the city are’ urged to invite their father to attend this Pot Luck Supper with them. Each Scout and Cub attend ing the supper will be expected to furnish sufficient food for him self and visitor. We are hoping this year that we will have more than three hundred in atetendance at the supper. Awards will be made to the troop having the best scout skit, best advancement and the outstanding scout troop of the district, together with the scout who has done the most toward the scouting program during the past year. It is also hoped that Die Camping and Activity Com mittee will be able to supply Civic Service ribbons to those Scouts of the city and district who have earned the priviiedge of wearing the ribbons. SHOW FOR SHIRTS OFF BACK CAMPAIGN Activity Chairman C. A. Irby has succeeded in getting a free - show to help in our drive for old Scouting equipment for Scouts of foreign countries. Chairman Irby announces that he has arranged for an early run of the regular Saturday’s show at the Royal Theatre, Saturday morning start ing at 10 a. m. there will be only one showing of the picture. Ad [mission to the show will be a contribution to the Shirts Off Our flack Campaign that has been started by National Headquarters. It is the hop 3 of the National Council that every Scout now in the Boy Scout Program will ar range to give at least some part r.f a Scout uniform. Each Scout in the city or District that gives a part of a uniform or other scouting equipment to their scout master will be given a ticket to the Saturday morning show at the Royal Theatre. The show will not be limited to Scouts alone, but will be for all those that have such equipment to give to the Scout drive. Some youngster might have had an older brother con nected with the scout and would like to give his equipment to this worthy undertaking, if so he will also receive a free ticket to the show at the Royal, through the Scoutmaster of the troop to which he takes his equipment. We have plenty of room in the theatre and hope that we will be able to fill every seat in the building. CHURCH SERVICES SUNDAY The annual Boy Scout Church Sunday will be observed at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning at the regular morning services with the Rev. Johnnie Walker preaching. Last year we had the smallest number of Scouts and Cubs to attend rne services that we have ever had in the City Church Services. We cer tainly hope that scouts and cubs will plan now to be present for the services at the Church. Lets Church at 11 i. m. Sunday morn ing February 10. It is our hope 'hat an award will be given the troop that has the largest per cent of their troop present for the services at the Churchr. Lets see if we can have 100 per cent attendance at this service. SCOUTMASTERS ROUNDTABLE The regular meeting of the Scoutmasters Rountable will be with the Troop Committee and scout troop of 141. Monday night February 11 at 6 p. m. notices will be sent all scout officials giving the exact place of the meeting. It is understood that the troop committee of troop 141 will serve the parents of troop 141 and members of the Scoutmasters Roundtable. Troop 141 under the leadership of Scoutmaster Dorsey Neathery will oe in charge of the program for the evening. All Scoutmasters, Assistant Scout masters, Cubmasters and assist ant Cubmasters, together with members of the various troop com mittees and District Committee are invited to be the guest of troop 141 for the ocassion. OLD CLOTHES DRIVE From the stand point of the response of scouts in the last old Clothe Drive that was staged in the city the drive was a huge success, we had more than three times the numb°r of scouts need ed for the drive, Scouts from troops 145, 146. and 147 are to be congratulated on their prompt response to the call for the drive. About 50 scouts were on time at ?:30 Friday for the drive, they .vaited until 4:15 for the truck .hat were to be in the drive, Rev. Udmond succeeded in rounding ip two trucks about 4:20 p. m. rom Howerton Gowen and Rose nary Mills, and the drive was itarted, about 4:40 the city truck ippeared and completed the drive. Are the officials of the Scouting irogram of the city are sorry that hose faithful scouts were forced :o wait for more than an hour, jut appreciate the fact that they were ready for the drive when arrangements had been completed. We hope that we will be able to get things a little better planned in the future. Notice of Dissolution North Carolina, Northampton County, To whom it may concern: Notice is hereby given that C. H.
