Miss Clem Read was winner of high score and Mrs. Russell Weeks second high and Miss Effie Avent bingo prize. A delicious salad course was serv ed to Mrs. Russell Weeks, Mrs. A. L. Hux, Mrs. V. A. Parks, Mrs. C. E. Shaw, Mrs. Bill Penn, Mrs. R. W. Millikin, Mrs. P. C. Draper, Mrs. W. L. Johnson, Mrs. W. R. Caudle, and Misses Effie Avent, Clem Read and Ursula Marshall. Miss Hodges Entertains Gin Rummy Club Miss Marion Hodges was a de lightful hostess to the Gin Rummy Club Wednesday evening. Lovely spring flowers decorated the home throughout. A number of games were enjoyed before scores were collected and prizes awarded. Mrs. Gilbert Baugham won low and Miss Edith Revelle won high. They were presented attractive prizes. At refreshment time Mrs. Gilbert Baugham was remembered with a lovely cake decorated in pretty colors in honor of her birthday which was Wednesday. A sweet course with an ice drink was enjoyed by the following: Misses Marguerite Camp, Irma Lee Grant, Edith Revelle, Gene Tillery, Mildred Hodges and Mes dames Gilbert Baugham, Robert Rogers and Atweli Taylor. Mrs .Edwards Hostess To Her Bridge Club Mrs. J. D. Edwards entertained the Thursday night club with a lovely party Thursday night with three tables of contract bridge, in her apartment in the McCrory Building. The home was lovely with loses. Mrs. H. E. Gibson won high score, Mrs. L. B. Allen won second high score, and Mrs. W. H. Tickel won floating prize. They were presented attractive prizes. At refreshment time strawberry short-cake with coffee was enjoy ed. Each plate held a lovely red rose. Guests for the evening were: Mesdames L. B. Allen, H. E. Gib son, W. H. Garden Club Holds Its Last Meeting The last meeting of the Garden Club was held in the home of Mrs. A. O. Pendleton with Mrs. Pendleton and Mrs. D. L. Wheeler as co-hostess. Mrs. L. W. Clem-j y, ents, chairman of the club, pre sided and during the business ses sion several matters of importance were discussed, the club as a whole acting to have a victory garden and urge others to plant a garden to help with the food shortage. The May meeting of the Garden Club will be held as a joint meet ing with the Fine Arts Club. A delightful paper was given by Miss Susan Holladay on tuberous^ begonias.
