Thompsons Hold Family Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Uari s>. inumpauu entertained at a family re-union Qf the Butts family on Saturday evening at their home on Hamil ton Street with a two course din ner at 7:30 o’clock. The home was decorated with summer mixed flowers in attractive arrange ments. The dining table was covered with a hand embroidered linen table cloth and centered with an attractive vegetable center piece on a platter and on each end with white tapers in crystal hold ers. Guests enjoying the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Butts, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. George S. Butts, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Musselman, Miss Lucy Butts, all of Washing ton, D. C., Mrs. Maynard Hicks and son of Snow Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Butts of HaJifax. Lamb of Halifax. Deaths MRS. EULA B. WRIGHT Mrs. Eula Bennette Wright, 75 died Sunday night at her home on 1011 Jackson Street after an ill ness of several months. Funeral services were conducted from the Rosemary Methodist Church Tues day afternoon at 5:30 o’clock, con ducted by the Rev. W. R. Stev ens. She is survived by three daugh ters, Mrs. P. H. Hasty, Mrs. C. F. Barker and Mrs. Frank Massey cf Roanoke Rapids; two sons, Rob ert Wright and Johnnie Wright of Roanoke Rapids; one brother, C. C. Bennette, Greenville Coun tv, Va., and five grandchildren. JOHN MACK BORRELL John Mack Borrell, 54, died Satudr.y night in Wilson after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held from the Wil liams Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Gordon Price. Inter ment was in the Cemetery at Lit tleton. He is survived by his Father, Augusta Borrell and two daugh ters Lela Elizabeth Neal and Dor othy O. Norris of Roanoke Rap ids; two sons, Clifton E. Borrell ol Richmond and Bill Borrell of Roanoke Rapids; two brothers, A. 3. Borrell of Roanoke Rapids and A. L. Borrell of Portsmouth; three sister, Lizzie Harris, Irene Stans bury and Hattie Mae Ross and three grandchildren.
