The first powder-puff
game, sponsored by SGA, was
played on December 4. The
game was seniors versus jun
iors, with
male cheer
leaders from
both classes
present. The
spirited com-
p e t i t o r s
played hard
for. their
classmates, as
the cheerlead
ers (some
even in skirts),
enthusiasti- ..
cally per
formed cheers'
and stunts.,.„
The junior.',
team scored Teamwork leads to
the first touch
down, but a play run on an
intercepted ball by the senior
team tied the game with one
minute until half-time.
The senior coach, Tom
Trocano, was seen talking to
his team and the referee while
whipping off his sunglasses.
Tucker acted as referee for the
game. With the score still tied
at the end of the second half,
the game went into overtime.
The seniors won the game
by gaining 1
down and 2
points. The
[final score was
14 to 12.
[Emotions and
adrenaline were
running high, as
the two teams
'shook hands
and left the field
■knowing that
they had played
the game well.
