Class Poem—Lasting Memories
—Woody McKay
Memories are gems of the past;f'-
Time goes on, but memories
last;
Our work, our fun, our edu
cation
Are all rewarded at gradua
tion.
We now enter on our sea of
life;
We can sink to evil, heartache,
strife;
Or rise to be the world’s hon
ored few.
Our future’s up to me, to you.
Ours is the dawn of a beauti
ful day.
Ours to be lived in a singular
way;
Ours are the memories other’s
can’t know.
Ours to enjoy as forward we
go.
Sweet memories, deeds of the
past;
The action’s o’er, but mem’ries
last.

MB. & MBS. L. H. S.
(Continued from page one)
Being most popular he naturally has
many activities: President of Stu
dent Council; President of Hi-Y; Busi
ness Manager of Lexhipep; Class
Poet; Superlative (most popular and
wittiest); tennis team; Honor So
ciety; Beta Club; Quill and Scroll;
and Dramatics Club.
Woody’s ambition is to stay hap
py, and we know he can’t fail.
“Mighty Lak’ a Rose” is first on
his Hit Parade.
Now we know why Woody is so
beautiful; his favorite pastime is
sleeping!!! Also he likes to pass his
time away loafing at the Green Door.
(That seems to be popular among
the boys.)
So ends a pleasing group of Mr.
and Miss L.H.S.’s: Bob Peeler and
Mary Anne Hunt; Sue Hooper and
“Tinker” Williams; Enid Ayers and
Jack Swaim; Hubert Olive and Betty
Jo Everhart; Myrtle Smith and Bryce
Everhart; Bob Tate and Mary Sue
Thomason; Jeannine Meachum and
Jack Alber; and last but not least
Woody and Becky. Luck to all of
you on your future course!!!
We’ll only say “see ya next year”,
’cause “The happy never say and
never hear said, Tairwell’.”—W. S.
Landor.

Our Principal
Hi
Let’s reminisce
Of the days now gone by.
The days that we’ve spent
Which were all well content.
The days we will think
Of when we have grown old.
And wish we were young
And the story not old.
Chorus
Juniors, we leave you
The fun we have had.
But after all we
Still are not glad;
To leave these halls brings a
Thought that is sad—
L. H. S., we love you so!
