The greasy pole was particularly
challenging. It remained unsealed until
late in the afternoon when a hand of
stalwart youngsters conquered its
heights and claimed the fistful! of
money.
ANNUAL PICNIC!
High upon a mountain top,
amid whispering pines and cascading
streams, the gala, once-a-year Du
Pont Employee’s Picnic was held. Over
a thousand people visited that portion
of the Du Pont property known as the
Guion farm.
Lots of sunshine, games, prizes
and food combined to make the picnic
a smashing success. A multitude of
prizes and the thrill of competition
attracted hundreds of contestants in
the diverse contests.
