Christmas, 1968
To All Du Pont Brevard Plant Families:
Christmas is a very special Day, although often
we are inclined to lose sight of its meaning. It gets
concealed behind the tinsel as we become involved in
the activities of the Season.
It is appropriate, therefore, to pause for a
moment to consider what additional significance
Christmas can have to us as Du Pont employees.
The spirit of Christmas emphasizes the worth
of the individual. It reminds us that each employee
is a person with individual hopes and aspirations.
Sometimes you may feel that what you contribute
is not very important, but group accomplishments
are nothing more than the sum of our individual
contributions. Your feelings, attitudes, satisfactions
and dissatisfactions are of vital concern to your super
visor and to all of us who bear the responsibility for
the management of our plant. Your success and the
success, of our plant are inseparably associated.
So, in harmony with the Christmas Season, let
us be grateful that we work in a free society in which
the dignity of the individual is important. This is the
spirit of Christmas and it is a basic principle in the
philosophy of the Du Pont Company.

The balsams, pines, and rhodo
dendrons alongside the gatehouse
were weighted down with the fluffy
white snow that caught everyone by
surprise. Beautiful to look upon, the
giant flakes created a delightful
scene —until we" tried to drive home.
Next morning the roadsides looked
like an elephant’s graveyard; the
ditches were filled with monstrous
snowbound forms of automobiles that
failed their masters in the journey
home.

Announcement
The Annual Dinner-Dance
Christmas party for all Du Pont
employees will be held on De
cember 28th. A smorgasbord
dinner will be served at Berry’s
Restaurant in Brevard from 6 until
9 o’clock p.m. (In the past, the
crowd has been so large at the
Legion, with dinner being served
there, it was thought that by hav
ing dinner at Berry’s, more space
would be available in the Hall,
and service would be better in
the restaurant.)
The dance will begin at 9
o’clock p.m. at the American
Legion Building. See your D.E.
R.A. representative for tickets.
Price; $3.00 per couple, includ
ing the meal.
