PLANT UNITED FUND
DRIVE
“Thanks to you, it’s working” is the
theme of the 1972-73 United Fund cam
paign lasting from October 9th to the 19th.
This years’ goal is $21,500.
Plant employees contributed a total of
$20,744 (separate from the $4,000 corpo
rate gift) last year. The increase in our goal
this year reflects in part a 9.4% increase in
the budgets of Transylvania and Henderson
counties.
Transylvania, Henderson, and Bun
combe county agencies are included in
this years’ distribution in proportion to
Plant population living in these counties.
Solicitors from all areas will give every
plant employee an opportunity during the
Plant campaign to review the needs of the
many worthy community agencies in
cluded in the budgets and make their
contribution to help fulfill these needs.
Thanks bo you

Fellow Employees,
The Brevard Plant has begun its annual United
Fund campaign to raise funds to support community
service and charitable organizations for the year 1973.
The plant will donate to the Transylvania, Henderson, and
Buncombe County funds and it will cooperate by making
time available for the administration and solicitation of
the campaign.
The sustaining idea of the United Fund is to com
bine the needs of many organizations into one drive. This
reduces the number of contacts during the year to support
individual agencies. We who enjoy good health and have
a good job share in an obligation to assist those who are
less fortunate, provide wholesome activities for our youth,
and support other agencies which contribute to the better
ment of our community.
One of your fellow employees will contact you
personally for a contribution and to explain the different
ways in which you may make your contribution. While
only you can decide whether or not to give, and how
much you can afford, it is my hope that all employees will
accept this civic responsibility and will generously support
these worthwhile community projects.
