m m ¥ Page Six “HIGH” LIFE, OCTOBER 28tli, 1921 DURHAM DEFEATS GREENSBORO HIGHS IN HARD BATTLE (Continued from Page 1) goal was made in the fashion mentioned above. Daniel kicked goal. Durham scored in the second quarter by means of her lateral passes which came off prettily. Goal was kicked, the ball hitting one of the uprights and bouncing inside, Durham scored again in the third quarter when after a serie sof well executed passes which seemed to go right through our boys, one of Durham’s ends grabbed a beautiful pass and dodged 10 yards for their last touch-down. Goal was again kicked. In the last quarter the two teams see sawed up and down the field without scor ing. Green.sboro made gains at will through Durham’s line but line plunges will not carry a team from one end of the field to the opposite goal when only a few minutes are left to play. In all tliese line plunges Daniel was outsfanding plarmr smashing through*the opposing line with pile-di'iving force. Neal Jones made two of the most beautiful runs of the day. In one be carried a punt from the trventy- yard line to the center of the field. Durham, several times throughout the game, came within a few feet of our goal but Rabenborst’s Braves braced and snuff ed out Durbam’s hopes. Greensboro was handicapped by being twice penalized for huj’dling. The line-up and summary: Hinkle Trov 1. e. Transou McGranahan 1. t. Pendergraft I- S- Taylor Byrd c.
