Also, the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association along with the Greensboro Youth Council have embanked on the 1976 Miss Christmas Seal Contest already. Amy Hunsucker, com mittee chairperson, is preparing for the final judging which will ‘Opus n-nr -The seventy-six schoolyear shed no light on the students of Theatre Workshop. For each student to receive a grade, they must direct, act and work on a crew for one of twelve one-act plays. They are entitled “Opus three sets of one-act plays. “Opus One” launched the first third of the workshop one-acts with very few seats empty, on September 30 through October one. The plays were “A Pair of Lunatics,” “The Stilt Alarm,'” “Death,” and “A Picture of Dorian Gray.” Eight students directed with a few acting. November 3 and 4 will debut “Opus Two” featuring “War,” “The Other Side,” “The Dirty Old Man,” and “Louder, I Can’t Hear You.” Theatre workshop will finish out the semester with “Opus Three” on the evenings of December 16 and 17 take place on November 10. The purpose of the Miss Christmas Seal Contest is to raise money for the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association. During the campaign drives money was collected to support this worthy cause and finalists have been chosen to participate in the choosing of the 1976 Miss Christmas Seal. Service clubs are encouraged to choose a girl to sponsor for the Miss Christmas Seal Contest. She must be a single, senior girl and clubs are allowed to sponsoi someone who is not among their members. Miss Christmas Seal awards including a wardrobe, scholar ship, television appearances, and trips to fulfill her representative duties. Also associated with the Christmas season, is the Christmas Toys project. Home Federal Savings and Loan Association and the Greensboro Youth Council working in cooperation with local high school service clubs will sponsor the project.
