Underwood, faculty adviser, during the early part of the last week. Organization has been com pleted, and work for the term is well underway. Editor-In-Chief is Tom Neal, Jr., who was Feature Editor last year and who is also a member of Quill and Scroll. Associate Editor is Elizabeth McCulloch. Their main responsibilities are to supervise the writing of articles and headlines and the make-up of the front page. Barbara Hutton, Feature Editor, has charge of the writing and make up of the editorial page. General Make-up Editor is Carolyn Lentz, who has come here from Asheville where she was Feature Editor of the Lee Edwards School paper last year. All other staff members, how ever, have had previous training here at Senior High School. Dara Lea Basinger is Business Manager. Her assistants are all members of the first-year Journal ism class. Their jobs are to solicit advertising, draw up the advertis ing copy and collect the bills. Reporters are Ann Lewis, Elaine Darnell, Rosalind Fordham, and Rodney Harrelson. Mr. A. P. Routh is the Financial Adviser, and Mrs. Grace Faver is the Art Ad\'iser. At total of $5,()00 was used on new locks, lockers, and ilhe repair of old ones. All lockers were removed from the wall and tightened: Fifteen thousand bolts were put in the lockers. Doors on the lockers were also fixed. Mr. Johnson asks that if any of the doors do not work properly that this be reported to him. A new locker will be issued to !the student. Since there was trouble Avith rats bothering food left in lockers last year, they have all been rat- proofed. Traffic Improved; Officers Elecfed The traffic chief, Billy Ferguson, has reported that the traffic situa tion has been going along excep tionally well this year. Siteve Aga- pion is his assistant. Jerry Bryan has been elected Secretary and Treasurer. On the squad are the following boys: Archie Morris, Doug Kin caid, Bob Murray, Charlie Phillips, Bobby Highfill, Carl Brooks, Greg Patterson, Maitland Freed, Jerry Goklston. Ed Boyd, Bob Sample, Billy Eller,- James Noeman, Jim Leonard, Fred Upchurch, Bill Campbell, Jerry Bryan, Bill Sartin, Gordon Battle, Clint Legette, How ard Brew'er, Bill Jarvis, Jimmy Neal, Joe Attayek, Bill Crawford and Leon Siler. In addition to these boys,- repre sentatives will be elected from each sophomore homeroom to attend traffic meetings.
