5 January 18,1952 High Life Page Seven Mr. Sam Underwood’s seventh period English class was photographed while making final preparations for the eventful hour of exams. Exams start Monday, January 21, and many classes have been engaged in the process of reviewing for the tests. G.H.S. Alumnus Graduales Ai New London, Conn. Chester A. Rose, Jr., 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rose, 410 Hill side Drive, Greensboro, was one of 78 commissioned with the rank of Ensign, U. S. Coast Guard Re serve, after successful completion of an intensive four-month course at the Coast Guard Academy at New London, Conn. A graduate of Greensboro Sen ior High School and Guilford Col lege, where he won his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, the young officer enlisted in the Coast Guard on August 29 at Norfolk, then qualified immediately for ad mission to the Officer Candidate School.
