Members of the Girl’s Athletic Council are shown above as they record their points for the past bas
ketball season. Letters are awarded according to the number of points a girl may achieve and thus it
is necessary to keep an accurate record for each girl who participates in after school sports. The mem
bers are, left to right: Nancy Haithcock, points chairman; Bobbie Stubblefield; Harriet Vaughn, vice-
president; Lena McGhee, secretary; Shay Harris, president; and Martha Watkins. The council meets
once a week at the homes of their members and there they discuss play days, programs, and have a
social hour as well. Miss Margie Gabriel is the faculty advisor for this council.
