Since “variety is the spice of life,” Greensbergers really have a tasty treat in store for them at their leading theatres. So let’s see what’s on the fire for this week. You might as well start getting “dates” for those two late shows at the Carolina this week. Saturday night will bring Kirk Douglas in a “honey” of a picture, “BIG SKY.” Virginia Mayo is quite the “dish” in the “IRON MISTRESS” which is the Thanksgiving eve late show Wednesday night. Sharing the act ing honors with her will be Alan Ladd. Stewart Granger and Deborah Kerr compose a heaping spoonful of romance as they blend together in the “PRISONER OF ZENDA” which plays from Wednesday through Saturday at the “showplace of the Carolinas.” Ray Milland arid Rita Gam “take the cake” so the expression goes as they are .featured in “THE THIEF” which will be showing at the Center Sunday through Tues day. I know you won’t want to miss it as there’s not one word of dia logue throughout the entire pro duction. Be sure and buy yourself some chewing gum if you enter the National Theatre this week. “PONY SOLDIER” will be featured, and you’ll need something to calm your jangled nerves as you see Tyrone Power fight his way from start to finish.
