With hearts in her eyes each girl
walks down the hall.
Wrapped up in a dream of someone
dark, handsome, and tall. ,
The guys nonchalanty pretend not to
know.
It’s the day when ol’ cupid sets
out with his bow.
His arrow will glide down the hall
through the rush
And capture two hearts heaving them
with a crush.
This day he has chosen to remind
us of love,
A time to share with that someone
we think the most of.
The passion he’s spreading is not just
for this day.
It’s found in every heart, every
mind, everyday.
But ol’ cupid, so sly with his bow
as he’s striking,
chooses this day to tell every
“him” who she’s liking.
So he sends her candy when she
really wants roses.
And she gives it to her brother
While she loved it, he supposes.
Still it’s the thought that counts in
any gift of love.
Whether it’s Valentines or not, it’s
always them you think of.
