NOTE
Welcome all East Wind readers! This issue focuses on
informing everyone what the Asian-American population on the
Tar Heel campus and in the Chapel Hill community consists of.
There are perspectives from both organizations and students of
what they think our society is like. This is the Asian American
Students VOICE!
Take note that Asian Students Association is the merely the
“umbrella” organization and the primary supporter of all Asian
American groups on campus. This issue only contains a few
samples from a number of organizations on campus, and I apol
ogize to those groups, which were not represented in this issue.
I want to thank all the writers, who contributed their time
and effort to advocate the purpose to get their messages out.
