UNC alpha Kappa Delta Phi Actives alpha Delta By: Carol So, VP Internal Spring 2004 aving just started my fourth semester as an active of alpha Kappa Delta Phi (also known as KDPhi), I personally feel that this sorority has risen above all my expectations and preconceptions that I initially had before being initiated in Fall 2002. My reason for rushing was simply that I was curious and wanted to try something new, and I wanted to be involved in a worthwhile organization on campus. 1 took a chance with something completely foreign to me and in return, through the past year I have gained rela tionships with so many diverse and strong women, not only at the chapter at UNC but also nationwide and worldwide. Through the sorority I have been given not only a diverse variety of leadership and academic opportuni ties, but also philanthropic ones; all of which have broadened my views and have given me priceless expe riences towards my personal growth, alpha Kappa Delta Phi has given me the foundation I now build upon for my future in countless ways; a foundation that is now exceedingly higher than I knew I was capable of As an international student, after arriving I realized that it was important to me to stay close to my roots,
