On the last day of class of fall semester, a joint mixer with Alpha Phi Alpha and Tan Epsilon Phi (TEP) was held at the TEP house. The celebration, named “Apocalypse”, drew over 2000 stu dents. What was special about the event was that it wasn’t a crowd of one specific racial group. One could see Asian, African American, and Caucasian students mixing togeth er and enjoying a good time. The three fraternities, one Asian, one African American, and one Jewish collaborated on a huge success. During the exam week of fall semester. Pi Alpha Phi invited the sororities Theta Nu Xi and aKDPhi for a spaghetti dinner. The broth ers enjoyed the company of the ladies, along with cooking and serving some delicious food. GAC. It offered brothers the opportunity to meet members of the fraternities and sororities of GAC. Obviously having a good time and associating with fellow Greeks is an integral aspect of Greek life. Social chair Sang Shin said, “There is a diverse population on campus and we should take advan tage of the opportunities this uni versity can offer.” The fraternity’s active members include a diverse and formidable plate of talents and interests. Many are involved in leadership positions in other organizations around campus and in the commu nity. Almost all of the brothers are involved in Asian organizations across campus. Pi Alpha Phi’s longstanding excel lence has withheld the years, standing tall through turmoil and societal issues concerning Asians and Greeks. Current president of the fraternity, Hans Choe, said he believes that the arrival of Pi Alpha Phi at Carolina ushers a new life that also retains its values. “We have come a long way and accomplished tasks we could not possibly imagine...brotherhood will remain as our immutable bond in the goals to strengthen our pil lars in this university,” Choe said. ~EW Recently Pi Alpha Phi brothers Alphas Members pose at the Pi Alpha Phi Charterinstalls. attended a dinner sponsored by the e first step in deaiing with the issues. ”
