There Is A Story To Be Told
By: A. Reginald Eaves
(The Atlanta Voice)
As most of you know, it is not often that I agree with the Atlanta
Journal Constitution, (constipation as I call it). However, since they had
the guts to tell the Feds to fish or cut bait when it comes to investigat
ing the city of Atlanta and former Mayor Bill Campbell, I must give them
credit.
In my mind that requires some support from people like you and me,
for we know and understand where they are coming from. Since this
“so-called investigation” has been going on for more than a year, it is
time to either convict the Campbell or leave him alone.
I am of the opinion, they don’t have anything of substance on the man
or they would have done whatever it takes to destroy him. I have, and I
believe you have, had enough of this nonsense. Someone should tell
the Feds nothing is accomplished with their overkill method. For it just
makes people disbelieve or disrespect the government, reduces our
loyalty to a cut above zero, and erodes the government’s credibility. At
a time when so much is going wrong in this country, this kind of junk
should not face us everyday.
We have just come off of Super Tuesday and I am sure everyone was
mentoring our every action. I can only trust that African Americans went
to the polls in large numbers. Did you vote? If you did not, I think you
are a citizen of the worst kind, super sorry and lazy.
Speaking of voting, it seems as if Florida did not learn very much from
the voting disaster that took the presidential election from Al Gore. They
suffered some serious problems with the new machines in their last elec
tion just a week ago.
When we witness two young men on trial for killing their dad, it is
obvious we are not imparting the right values to our children. When we
allow them, as babies, to hit us in the face and chalk it up as being cute
we are sending the wrong message to the child.
With all of the talk about going to war and killing people, the leader
ship of this country is saying that life is not worth very much. Especially
since it appears as if we are doing all of this to avenge a mistake made
by Bush forty-three. Remember you heard it here first; we must stay out
of the Bushes.
The idea of our talking about taking out the leader of another country
gives our young children the belief that the way to solve a problem is by
force. This is just another point that proves violence is an acceptable
part of our culture.

for to us a child is born^ to us a son
is given, and the government will
be on his shoulders. And he will be
called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of
Peace. Of the increase of his
government and peace there will be
no end. He will reign on David's
throne and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it with
Justice and righteousness from that
time on and forever. The zeal of the
Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
