The AC Phoenix January 2004 Page 45 Dr. Patricia Bailey Pastor Tracey Bernard Pastor Creflo Dollar Dr. Patricia D. Bailey Recently I was privileged to be with three of my most precious sister in ministry. One of them, of coarse is my dear friend Paula White...the only thing WHITE about her is her name! And the oth ers are Taffi Dollar, the wife of Pastor Creflo Dollar and Tracey Bernard, the wife of Pastor Ray Bernard. Our meet ing together enabled me to become much more appreciative and aware of the power of sisterhood. When women lay aside their petty jealousies, catty com petitions and insolent insecurities, we will then be a force to be reckoned with. When a woman has insufficient affirmations in her life, she will seek for validation from people to provide security and self esteem that she lacks. But, the beauty of the kingdom living is the reality of God’s master design for humankind. Everyone has a gift talent or ability to dosomething. When we celebrate one another’s attributes and avail ourselves to help one another, we can see the paradox unfolding as every joint supplies. As we develop genuine appreciation for one another, we are able to lay aside our introspective selfish needs and arise to a higher calling... helping someone else! Using our cooperate ability to benefit someone else is true sisterhood in it’s rawest sense. The cameo of a Godly woman is a person who has died to herself and ultirriately aims to please God and Him alone. I’m sure that as you are reading this article, something inside of you will begin to pant to be used by God. Last month on the Oprah Winfrey Show, she featured her trip to South Africa. She used her platform to be a voice for the children who are struggling as victims due to the AIDS epidemic. She decided that she would use her wealth and influence as a platform to rally others around the world to help the children of South Africa. When I viewed the broadcast, I cried almost through the entire program. I continued repeating to the Lord, “Father this is all I ever endeavored to do.” This has been my life for over two decades and now I have a mandate by God to empower other women to fulfill their desire in doing the same. As we network with one another, we will discover that everything that we need is amongst us. Paula White has been a great inspiration to me; she has always extended her help and a willing ness to see me get to where God wants me to be. Tracey Bernard pooled her women together to adopt one of our projects for hurting women abroad and sister Taffi allowed me to speak to her women and blessed my ministry, which enabled me to help other women around the world. When we, as women, make our own calling and election sure, then we are not threatened or intimidated by each other’s gifts. God is moving amongst women in this generation! The enemy has divided us long enough, it’s time to rise up and celebrate one another’s gifts, tal ents, and abilities. Every woman has to come to a place of working her OWN STUFF! Develop what you have and don’t be too insecure to learn from another woman who has already accom plished what you are still aiming to reach! I thank God for the women in my life; we challenge one another, sharpen one another, stretch one another and we give our all to help one another. There is not COMPETITION or JEALOUSY while we are trying to get it together. Thousands of women are battered daily and over 65 million children in America stand in need of foster care or adoption. 80% of the women and children in most of the impoverished world have no access to healthcare or education. Isaiah 32:9 warns the careless daughters to rise up out of their complacency and ease! It’s time to build literacy centers in Sudan together...it’s time to provide aid for children who are victims to the AIDS virus together.... it’s time to network together to get the 5 year old prostitutes off the streets of Angola TOGETHER! Our greatest potential lies within our sisterhood...sisters helping sisters. It’s a new day and it’s essential that we bond together and do things in a new way. We truly need each other.
