GLTC STUDENTS RESPOND WITH THE ANSWER By Dr. Patricia Bailey There is one thing that can be said of our God that is undis- putable...He is an all knowing and wise God. His omniscience is what entitles Him the attribute of eternal foreknowledge, divine wisdom, and the ultimate ability to order out steps. Long before the Tsunami ever hit South East Asia, the missionary trainees of GLTC were already prepared to be deployed to South East Asia. Our departure date is January 24th from Los Angeles California into Malaysia for a mission in Penang a village truly hit hard by Tsunami. Our second mission is into Sri Lanka which was hit extremely hard, over 10,000 killed and 800,000 were affected as a result. WATCHFIL NETWORK CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY The Watchful Network’s Business Expo is an annual event held each year during the month of February in celebration of Black History Month. The event will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum - Special Events Center on Friday, February 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This is the organization’s major event of the year where small business owners and entrepreneurs come out to showcase their products and serv ices to the general public. Speakers present information and networking occurs between the business owners and attendees. “The Expo has been a tremendous suc cess, so please come out and par ticipate in this historic event,” said President and founder, Tyrone E. Smith: In today’s ever-changing market place, we must take a more business minded approach towards investing in and building our community by realizing the power of our economic wealth. We can build our community by perpet ually supporting one another in business through networking. The Black History Month Business Expo goal is to promote business es in the community as a viable resource center. It is intended to give people an opportunity to learn about the products and services that are readily available to them on a daily basis. Evans On Monday, January 17th at 12 noon the community of Winston-Salem, North Carolina will for the 25th time pause to reflect, to celebrate, to commem orate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and what would have been his 76th birthday. The spirited and longest on-going observance will occur at the M. C. Benton Convention Center. Dr. Serenus T. Churn, Sr. of Mount Zion Baptist Church will deliver the keynote address. The theme of this silver observance is “We MUST Learn the Lessons - All of Them!” Four energetic, produc tive citizens will receive the MLK “Dare to Make a Difference Award.” They are Moses Lucas, Allen Joines, Larry Little, and Larry Womble.
