Forsyth Technicai Community Coiiege. He is currentiy enroiled in
the Municipal Administration Course at the University of North
Caroiina at Chapel Hill.
As sanitation director, Tayior wili be responsibie for a,staff of
more than 200 empioyees and the operation of severr major
sanitation programs, including househoid garbage coBection,
curbside recycling;’ brush coliection and yard-waste coition.
His pay wii! be $69,660 annuaily.

functions, handling personnel issues and initiating and m^aging

he wiil effectively lead and manage the dutstanding saAation
program that Becky McBride developed during her tenuj^^
McBride is retiring after 25 years of service with city,
including 21 years as sanitation director. She was wt first
woman in North Caroiina to lead a sanitation departmera when
she was appomted in 1984. During her career has
impiemented many innovative and citizen-focused pr(sigrams,
including residential recycling, yard-waste collection and new
voluntary curbside garbage collection ofogram. ?
