Zion, Goler Institute and other churches have embarked upon a first ever, church-prison conference designed to halt the high rate of incarceration and recidivism with an ambitious two-day program. May 22-23 at Goler Education and Enrichment Center, 620 North Patterson Avenue. The event is part of a national, emerging trend to find ways to halt the explod ing prison population and to assist ex-offenders in finding meaningful employment once they re-enter society.
