T I ! i!: ! Page 4 QUEENS BL UES December 1, 1945 Basketball practices have started! Come every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from four until six to be sure you get your six practices in before the big tournaments. All you old students will remember the tournaments that we had last year, between sororities, dormitories and any other organization that wanted to organize a team. There were some grand teams last year with Phi Mu taking top honors. To wind up the tournaments there were games between the classes with the Freshman class winning. The tour naments this year will start right after Christmas holidays, so every one get those practices in because we want to chose a varsity. If we do this we can invite other schools to play us. Be expecting you all at practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from four until five thirty. Last week Miss Mitchell’s Soccer class was entertained with three modern dances which the girls in Miss Hawley’s'Modern Dance class created. The dances represented disappointment being overcome by joy; going to school; and a dream in which three girls thought they heard the singing of a bird, but when they went to find it, it was gone. These girls did a splendid job showing what modern dancing is and how enjoyable it can be. Per haps with a little persuasion the class would give a performance so the entire student body could be come acquainted with the funda mentals of Modern Dancing. Sears, Roebuck &Co.
