SCA Cabinet Has Installation Service The S. C. A. Cabinet Installation was held in Belk Chapel on Tues day morning, April 3. The service was opened with the congregational singing of “O Grant Us Light,” after which Rainey Gamble, retir ing President of S. C. A., read the scripture lesson and offered prayer. The incoming President of S. C. A., Helen Drennan, spoke on “The Challenge.” In an appropriate re sponsive reading, the members of the student body pledged their co operation and service. Students Discuss, Choose Preferred '51 "'52 Courses Today conferences are slated for students with their professors to select their courses for next sem ester. All of those planning to re turn should be aware of the re quirements, general and specific, necessary for graduation in their respective majors. The advisor will discuss the courses with the stu dent and make suggestions for her schedule. No classes are being held today. The procedure follows that of last year. The students receive their registration material at 8:30 a. m. in Dean Sweet’s office and meet with their faculty advisors to make out their schedules for next semester. College Choir Sings Over S. C. Station The Queens College choir travel ed to Orangeburg, South Carolina, on April 8, where they sang a sacred concert for a rally of the Presbyterian Youth Fellowship of Charleston Presbytery. Prior to presenting this program the group gave a thirty minute radio pro gram over the local Orangeburg station. (Continued On Page Three) Juniors Fete Seniors With Barbecue Picnic Florence Ashcraft, the new pres ident of the rising Senior Class, has revealed that this year’s Junior- Senior affair will be held on Thurs day, April 12, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon at Cissie Gottleib’s farm on Providence Road. But other than giving this information and stat ing that Rogers’ Barbecue will pro vide barbecue with all the trim mings, the Juniors refuse to talk further. Something besides barbe cue must be cookin’!!! The Juniors have been working very hard for the past few weeks planning an exceptionally interesting party, with good food, and an origina program of entertainment—to hon or the graduates and make this affair an outstanding and memor able one to everyone.
