Page Four QUEENS BLUES April 11,1951 A I . > I DIANA’S DARTS - - - While you girls were at home for spring holidays, I stood here in this pond and listened for little bits of news from you. A few little birds landed on me and told me this . . . Emily Shipp won’t be an old maid all her life. Nancy Timberlake certainly does have her eye fixed on Auburn these days! Betty Wayne really had a won derful time . . . just she, and Henry, and trout. Tuck came back saying that she and Bob were fine . . . but “He’d better not call me just to keep from writing!” Bailey has been keeping away from me . . . she must have a deep, dark secret. Dot and Billy had a wonderful vacation in Atlanta. Madaline still loves Stell— period! Sara Claire was glad to get back to Hoopy—^who wouldn’t be? Kitty Sue seemed to be enjoying her “Patton” life—and Doris Ann had “Bacon” on Mon day. Cecilia Moss has definite ideas about Tommy—nice thing about it tho’—he’s got definite ideas too! Now that everyone is back, in body at least, I’m happy again— Just the other day, while everyone was going to dinner I heard . • • “Don’s c o m i n g”— and Joyce Chambless almost collapsed. Laura Sue was pressing a flower in her scrapbook. “Don came to see Katie last night”—bet little Katie was happy. Virginia Love and Reid took for P. C. right after the holidays— Reid’s an old hand at dating at P. C.; Virginia came back with flu! Lulu White was glad to be back, mainly because she had to ride “Katy Car” all the way back. We’re glad you’re here too. Lulu. CHARLOTTE, N. C. Myers Park Beauty Salon “Charlotte’s House of Charm” Phone 2-6531 Headquarters For GREETING CARDS SOCIAL STATIONERY PARTY GOODS GIFTS i^iliShaw Char'd SL wp On The Corner Selwyn Hotel Building Phone 5-0027 The new house presidents are moving around—Jay and Jackie and Murphy were loaded with books (pun), clothes, ’n stuff. . . . I hear they drew straws for house presidents—that’s a chance of all chances. Somebody would have to get South! Poor soul! Mary Waters seemed happy about something—could be Duke, couldn’t it, Mary? Corny has been trying to get everybody to run around on the roof at Morrison now that she’s off council. Morrison claims she’s off her beam! They say Dave Williams and Bill Bacon were running a race to see who would be Sweetheart of A D Pi —what do Anne and Doris Ann say about that—they would make right nice sweethearts, hun girls ? ? ? I wonder if the mileage meter in Joan Baucom’s car has added much to it ... or did he come home to Charlotte and Joan? Bunny Fowler is looking for a ride to Texas. Anybody going or hearing of a ride, please let her know. Jane Smith and Dot Ussery were really ready to go to Blacksburg— Could V. P. I. have anything to do with that? Lia and her fiance had a won derful time together in New York. She’s all smiles now, and who wouldn’t be ? ? ? Fran McPherson seems to like blondes and brunettes—someday a time will come for a choice—which ■ will it be, I wonder! If you didn’t know better, you’d think that the dorms were on fire —’cause the smoke just pours out. The seniors are beaming because their festivities start soon—sing ing in the dining room. Graduate Record Exams, the Junior-Senior barbecue and picnic, and every thing. Spring is sprung ... so is the “Barn”—it had no Easter suit . . . neither did the infirmary! Where the grass now grows, the half-nude forms of Queens girls baking in the sun will soon be seen. B’ann’s visit was a pleasant one for everyone. Food is the way to a man’s heart; so Jackie Henley baked cookies for Johnnie—how subtle can you be? Providence Shoe Repair Service 601.B PROVIDENCE RD.
