No new ma chinery will be added. 1 he new building will be of steel and brick construction and it will connect directly with the }‘resent plant. Red Cross Drive The results of the Red Cross drive recently completed showed 1112.15 contributed from the Wil son Division, and .S380.{)() from Caromount. Both of the above figures include the company do nations. Minstrel Rehearsed The Caramount Orchestra is revising and enlarging its reper toire of old favorites and current ly popular tunes to be used in con junction with a minstrel show within the next few weeks. All employees who are inter ested in participating may contact Bill Williams in the Machine Shop, Walter Greenman, Finishing De partment or Clyde “Red” Evans, first shift weaveshed. The first rehearsal was held during the week of March 8. Clyde “Red” Evans has recent ly begun playing the guitar for the (Continued on Pag© Five) Employees Suggest Improved Methods Through the suggestion system employees have expressed their ideas concerning the Caromount Cafeteria. Two of these suggestion blanks relayed messages that merit the attention of all employees. An employee has suggested that each person enjoying the services of the cafeteria, “put their waste paper from sandwiches and lunch es in wastebaskets and their bottles in racks.” With the cooperation of all employees in following this suggestion the cafeteria may be kept neat and attractive at all times, and at the same time provide more satisfactory services. Another suggestion from an em ployee stated that peoi)le often stand at the serving counter after having been served; thereby, mak ing it difficult for others waiting in line to he served. It was sug gested that employees he seated as soon as possible after being served in order to provide space for others waiting in line. Full cooperation in carrying out the.se suggestions will be of great benefit to all. Inc., held on March 11, Colonel John R. Simpson was elected Chairman of the Board to succeed the late Mr. Sidney Blumenthal. Robert Willis J ameson was also elected a Director. This addi tional park area will enlarge the iccreation facilities.
