Claudette is very fond and very proud of her pets. Wilson Division Visit In Clayton Mr. and Mrs, Ivan Davis and daughter, Sylvia Ann, visited Mrs. E. F. Homes in Clayton dur ing Thanksgiving. Mrs. Davis is a Wilson Division weaver. (Juests Mrs. Eunice Allen (Wilson) had as her guest Thanksgiving Mr, and Mrs, W. D, Price of Washington, D. C. Visitors Mr, and Mrs. Charlie Ward (Wilson) had as visitors for a recent weekend, Mr. and Mrs. David Reasons and daughter, Myrtle, of Smithfield. Iinproviug We are glad to report that Ras- tie Ferrell (Wilson) is getting along fine after being confined to the hospital with arthritis. Visits In Washington Mr. and Mrs. Pete Thompson visited relatives in Washington, D. C., during Thanksgiving. At Morehead J. B. Bryant, 2nd shift, spent 3 week end at Morehead City fish ing with friends. I No Luck William Godwin and friends Suessmuth Reelected E. H. Suessmuth, resident man ager of Sidney Blfi'menthal and Co. Inc., was unanimously re elected president of the Wilson Chamber of Commerce for an other year at the annual meeting of'the organization board of di rectors at the Cherry Hotel in Wilson, November 29. This was the third time in the history of the Wilson Chamber that a president has succeeded himself. visited Hoboken, N. C., recently. While there they did right much fishing. New Car Theolphius Barnes is the proud owner of a new Chevrolet and likes it fine. On Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jones have recently returned from their vacation. They said they enjoyed the rest very much and had a grand time. In SJielton Frank Lovshin, who is doing some Work in Wilson at present. Went to his home in Shelton, Connecticut for the Thanksgiving Holidays. To Raleigh, Mr, and Mrs, Harvey Robin son (Dyehouse) went to Raleigh recently on a shopping tour. Eighth Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Mark L. Dickens (Dyehouse) celebrated their eighth Wedding Anniversary Nov ember 22, 1949. Tonsilectomy Little Miss Doris Griffin, nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Tommie Griffin (Dyehouse) had her tonsils removed recently. New Home Mr. and Mrs. John Parker (Dyehouse) have recently moved: to Langley’s Crossroads. One Year Mrs. Vivian Hodges (Dye- house) and her husband celebrat ed their First Wedding Annivers ary on December 4, 1949. Out Sick Willie H. Hare has been out sick for about a month. We wish for him a speedy recovery and hope he will soon be back at work. Improving Mrs. Rachel Hollingsworth (Weaving) is steadily improving at her home. Mrs. Hollingsworth has been out for some time due to an accident. Out Sick George Butler (Finishing) has been out sick recently. VTsitod Ill Raleigh Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Walker (Mending), Sidney’s mother, Mrs. Harry Walker, and Mrs. Janna Gupton (Mending) went to Raleigh where they visited “Toni’s House.” Weaving Dept Robert Pittman and Richard Brown recently completed a week of Jury Duty in Nashville Sup erior Court. (iood Catch Clyde Evans caught three nice Jack fish at Gardner’s Creek re cently. He said that the water was just right, but the weather was cold. New Car Reynolds Keilnedy now has a new 1950 Maroon Ford. It is a pretty thing. Poor Fi.sliiiig H. J. Ezzelle went fishing at Gardner’s Creek recently; but he did not have much luck! Auto Gas Poisoning Norman Richardson (Weaving) suffered from an attack of Auto Gas Poisoning recently. This Was the after effects of riding in a closed car with the heater on for a long period of time. Norman was given a shot to count- era(;t the poisoning. Visits Camp Biitner Mrs. Theresia Perdue (Mend ing ) and her family spent Thanks giving with relatives at Camp Bul- ner. Shopping Ill Riciimoiid Mrs. Alma Lancaster, Mrs, Tel- lie Coley (Mending) and Miss Jane Coley (Shipping) spent a recent week end in Richmond shopping. Visited Mother Mrs. Annie Woodard (Mend ing) visited her mother, Mrs. R. R. Allen in Conway for a week end. Ine lirst Shift Mending Department gathered November 11 Alma Lancaster at a surprise birthday party at uie t aroniount Field House. Coca Colas, nuts, cakes, candies ami ice cream were served. Afterwards Mrs. Lancaster opened many lovely and useful gifts. Miss Susie Peaden whose birth- on November 15 was also remembered with gifts. Miss Peaden ivas completely surprised since she thought that the party was altogether for Mrs. Lancaster. Tweiity.four people were present.
