Suessmuth paid tribute to the fine attitude toward Safety which our employees have. He stated that by the end of 1952 the Caro mount Division had already work ed more than 1,500,000 Man hours without a lost-time acci dent and expressed his confi dence that we would soon reach the 2,000,000 Man-hour mark. Turn to Paee Three American Speak-Up Series Continues The Americans Speak-Up Series will have Major Benjamin H. Namm as guest speaker on March 1st at 1:45 P. M. over Radio Stations WCEC in Rocky Mount and WVOT and WGTM in Wilson. Major Namm, Chairman, Interna tional Division of Notional Retail Dry Goods Association, will speak on, “How Much Socialism?”. “We Must Have Two Victories” will be the subject discussed by William C. Mullendore, president of Southern California Edison, over these Radio Stations March 8. Dr. William C. Black, a distin guished medical specialist of San Diego, California; and a serious student of the history of freedom, will talk to us March 15th on the subject “American Doctor Looks At European Socialism.” March 22, Thurman Sensing, Executive Vice President of the Southern States Industrial Coun cil, will talk to us on “The South Prefers Freedom.” Henry J. Taylor, noted Econo mist, Author and Journalist, will talk March 29, on “Looking A- head At Home and Abroad.” Employee’s Son Favors Eisenhower When Mrs. Frances Wood showed her baby’s picture and a snapshot of Eisenhower to a local photographer and called his attention to the likeness, little did she realize what the outcome would be. The photographer printed a picture in the local paper of the two; and Mrs. Wood sent a clipping of it and a note to Mrs. Mamie Eisenhower. Before too long Mrs. Wood re ceived the following letter from Mrs. Eisenhower, “Thank you for your nice note of July 14th and for the clipping which you sent. I enjoyed seeing the pic ture of your son alongside one taken of the General. Garland appears to be a darling baby and I got a chuckle out of his ex pression. Our youngest grand child is six months and her facial expressions change daily.
