Retiring Vice President
our personnel and organization.
To continue to produce oui cus
tomers’ requirements during this
period has been particularly diffi
cult. The energy, patience, loyal
ty, and application with which all
the people in this company have
done their work under these cir
cumstances have been heartwarm
ing. We in the management real
ize fully the difficult conditions
under which our high grade class
of merchandise has been pro-
educed. Machines were continual
ly moving in and out of Avorking
spaces. Temporary and often in
adequate services and other fa
cilities in buildings whose semi
finished construction often let in
the wintry blasts, and inconiplet-
ed ventilation provision made
conditions in some areas most
uncomfortable. The Avorst is over
and we have very definite plans
to provide the necessary environ
ment and facilities Avhicli Ave need.
Much of this Avill be completed
in 1955 but our plans go much
farther ahead into the future.
The company lost a considerable
amount of money in 1954. Hoav-
ever, results which aa’c already
have accomplished, insure success
ful operation in the next year.
^ Our new team of management,
technicians and skilled Avorkmen
is Avell on its way to putting us
back in the forefront in serving
our many markets. It is our
aim that 1 he Shelton Looms
continue to be a happy place to
Avork and 1 know that it will al-
Avays be just that because of the
spirit of team Avork, friendliness
and top-notch craftsmanship Avith
which all members of our organi
zation are imbued.
Merry Christmas and Happy
I New Year to all.
