/m Sc^ Vol. XXI, No. 1 New Students At Lincoln Hi School We are seeing quite a few new faces at Lincoln High. Some of them are here for the first time and some have returned. The new students are Bobbv Ha- good, Roosevelt Colson, and Mamie Webb. The returning stu dents are Wilbert Riggsbee, Ma rian Hrooks, Patricia Davis, Elaine Hairston. Ruth Jones, and Barbara Jones. We welcome all new and re turning students to Lincoln High and hope that they have an en joyable and successful school year. LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL Chapel Hill, N. C. October, 1952 10c Former Council Head Appointed Statistician Frank Robinson, president of the Student Council last year, has been appointed statistician for the Aggies of A & T College, Greens boro, North Carolina, where he is a freshman. Other graduates of the class of ’52 attending A & T are Her bert Atwater, Harold Burnette, Thomas Bynum, John Clark, Raymond Foushee, and Robert Hester. Attending North Carolina Col lege in Durham are Muriel At water, and Ernest Cordal. Marion Galashaw and lola Baldwin are at Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia. Edwin Caldwell is in Hampton Institute, Hampton, Virginia. Rebecca Frazier and Gloria Mason are attending busi ness school in Durham, North Carolina. 9A News The nine A Class is very glad to have Mrs. Hicks, our last year’s English teacher, to be our homeroom teacher in high school. Our class officers for this school are as follows: President, Allen Mason; Vice President, Rufus Bynum; Secretary, Delores Ma son; and Treasurer, Floyd Hogan. Jones, Ernestine Powell, Ruth Stroud, and Robert Winston. Homecoming Parade And Game Planned Homecoming Day is October 30, 1952. This is a day we all look forward to, for it is the greatest event in the school year , \vherein everyone takes part. I Miss Lincoln High School will I be crowned, floats will be made : to represent the work and art of j organizations, and the big parade. ' The game between the Lincoln High School “Tigers” and Frank- I'n County Training School of Louisburg will begin at 8:15 p.m. The parade will start at Lin coln High School at 4:30 p.m. and go to the Carrboro Lions Park in time for the kick-off. During the half-time Miss Lin- I coin High School will be crowned ! by the football captain. After the crowning the band will march and show maneuvers recently ac complished.
