Othello Club
Presents Comedy
The Othello Club of Lincoln
High School thrilled an audience
on the evening of March 20 with
the three-act comedy, “A Family
Affair.”
Martha Kelsey, the stay-at-
home daughter of a hard-to-live-
with father, saw nothing ahead
but drabness and loneliness.
When her father died things
changed immediately. The fam
ily of daughters trooped back
home for the reading of their
father’s will. The old fellow had
made his money chiefly in pigs
—large and small ones. To each
daughter other than Martha he
left a pig. To Martha he left a
tidy fortune, telling her to “keep
rooting for it.” A mad scramble
was on to find the money but
it took the Quiz Kid, one of the
granddaughters to locate the
cache which made Martha and
her mother secure for life.
The cast was as follows: Ma
Kelsey, Ada Edwards; Deborah
Kelsey Wade, Drucilla Clark; Sy-

“WATCH THEM GROW”
The effect of different diets
can be illustrated in classrooms
quickly by animals of short life
spans. The white rat is an ex
cellent illustrator for it is clean,
small, easily caged, has same
dietary habits as people, and im
portant, it changes or responds
to diet changes as people. Along
with the course of Nutrition, the
Biology II group is conducting
the demonstration on diets and
their effects on the bodies of the
white rats. One rat, “Nip,” is on
a balanced diet, while the other,
"Tuck,” is on a poor diet.
The rats were furnished
through the Dairy Council of
