Lauch Faircloth and Con gressman Fred Heineman have endorsed the Environmental Pro tection Agency’s plans to building a one million-square-foot building in the Durham County section of Research Triangle Park. The proposed building, which would be located south of N.C. 54 off Alexander Drive, would house 2,400 employees now scattaed at 10 rented sites in the Triangle. It would be a U-shaped structure with five interconnected buddings up to six stories tail. He said he would propose coping the cost outside of Washington, had threatened to build its center in an other state if its RTP plans wctc not approved. EPA’s budget includes spending $50 million in the 1995-% fiscal year on building roads, installing water and utility lines, and other site development.
