Brian Langley Vice-President Kenneth Woodard Secretary-Treasurer- Patsy Pope Mr, Brown President Jack Upton Vice-President Clyda Lynn Boyette Secretary-Treasurer- Joan Kaye Strick land SPCETS SMITHFIELD DEFEATED BY LA GRANIE La Grange scored three times with two extra points to defeat Smithfield, Smithfield fumbled the game away, Joe Creech, Bobby Pilkington and Virgil Early starred for Smithfield, BURGAW BEaTS SMITHFIELD 20-7 Smithfield fumbles hurt them again, Burgaw had no trouble in making 20 points and winning the game, Smithfield was unable to move on offense, Bobby Pilking ton pli^ged over the only score for . Smithfield, Joe Creech, Bill Holland, and I'iarvin Taylor starred for the home team, WARSAW WINS OVER SMITHFIELD It was nip and tuck all the way here during the game. In the last few minutes of the game Warsaw scored on a long pass, Smithfield lost 7-0 but played their best game on defense. Mike Starling, Fred Toole, and Jack Taylor were outstanding for Smithfield. GOLDSBORO STOMPS SMITHFIELD 51-0 Smithfield playing out of their class were defeated badly, Goldsboro scored all but a few times they got their hands on the ball, Joe Creech was outstanding on defense, SMITHFIELD DEFEATED BY MT, OLIVE "^be final score was 26—6, The game was much closer than the scores indi cate, Smithfield didn’t score on some of their opportunities. Jack Taylor pilled over from the 1 to score for Smithfield, Virgil Early starting at halfback played his best game of the year. Bill Holland and Marvin Taylor played well on the line.
