On November 25, Gail Ogburn and
Ruthie Wellons celebrated their l6th
birthdays with an elaborate dance at
the Johnston County Country Club, The
attendants dined on cookies, popcorn^
and fruit punch and danced to the music
of Bill Joe Austin’s orchestra.
Ann Booker and Betty McGowan enter
tained the high school at the Legion Hut
with a semi-formal dance. We feasted on
punch, cakes and nuts and waltzed to the
beautiful music of the Goldsboro High
School Dance Band, The girls were cele
brating their l6th birthday. Happy birth
day, girls I
After the delightful Junior play,
Howard Mallard held open house at his
home for the Juniors and their dates.
Punch, cookies, open-face sandwiches,
and cheese straws were served to the
elated group.
”IN THE SPOTLIGHT"
This month the High Times spotlights
are on two Juniors, Janice Edwards and
Edward Patterson,
Janice’s friendly manner is familiar
to everyone at S. H. S. Her favorite
food is fried chicken and her favorite
color is green. Her choice movie and
song are "Magnificent Obsession" and
"The Medic", Janice plays first string
forvrard for the Red Devilettes and is
a valuable member of the Junirr Class,
Edward has a pleasirog personality.
His favorite food is steak and, like all
the boys, he likes to hunt. His favorite
color is blue while the movie and the
song he picks are "We’re No Angels" and
"Band of Gold". Ed played the role of
Joe Scales, a cheerleader, in the Junior
play. Those welldone covers on the school
paper are Ed’s art work for he’s the
assistant art editor of the High Times
and is also a valuable member of the
Junior Class.
