Yeah, Man*. That's the reply you will hear from our cheering section. Here are a few hints from your cheerleaders to help you show that you’re really proud, VJiat makes a good cheering section? A group of high school students willing to do their share of cheering at the games. Ask yourself these questions to see if you are doing your part. Have I done my share of cheering? Have I tried to help the cheerleaders in cheering, or did I just wait till they were through with their cheer and start one by myself? The cheerleaders are glad to see the students full of pep and doing chants and we always join in. But when we start our cheers, please help us out. It’s the yells everybody joins in that carry encouragement to t he ears of the players and show the opposing fans our school spirit. Just before the game, our band, or another band from the school we are playing, plays "The Star Spangled Banner", v^hile this great song is play ing we know we should bejsilent, but at our last few games some of us have forgotten and kept right on talking. Let’s show the proper respect for our National Anthem. Confetti is all right to throw up in the air when our boys are marching on to victory; but when the confetti gets to be the size of papec cups, chew ed gum, etc., it’s just awful. Those of us who have youiig brothers and sisters in grammar school can coax them .to stay in the bleachers. It’s hard to try to cheer with about twenty young sters right on your heels. These are our suggestions to the fans. Lot us make our cheering section and conduct this year the best ever. We can and I know we will. Nancy Pitch! BETTER SCHOOLS MAKE BETTER COMMUNITIES
