SMITHFIELD HIGH TIMES REFLECTIONS Monday morning^ 5:25, The halls are filled with hushed groups of bleary eyed students and half-asleep teachers, A mob forms around the door to watch other half-awakes arrive. Our front hall has now been graced with a beautiful portrait of Mr, Glenn, the oil painting given by last year's senior class^ is a constant reminder that there is one who concerns himself with our welfare — who is our "father at school," so to speak. Picture day reminds one of an automobile assembly line. The pole was given to our school by the Smithfield plant of Bur lington Industries, Inc, This is a i^el- come and inspirational addition to our school. On behalf of our school, I want to express our deepest appreciation to the Smithfield plant for this most appro priate gift and to Supt, E, S. Simpson for permitting the school maintenance force to erect the pole. Notice; Morning Watch has been re sumed for students at the Free Will Bap tist Church on Wednesdays before school.
