I a ■ Baseball-'67“Capital Area Champions ;}.v2^-^55 The 1967 edition of Red Devil baseball accomplished a feat that the Big Red hasn't done since 1959. Not only did they win the Southern Division title for the third year tunning, but they also beat Vaiden Whitley ^Wo games straight to take the Conference title. This year the Red Devil Nine had seven Returning letternaen including Carlton Overby, shortstop; Kenneth Stephenson, Outfielder; Johnny Creech, catcher; Bill Jackson, outfielder; Steve Bijant, first ^ase; Ronnie Hopkins, pitcher; and Craig ^nnis, second base. The newcomers bounding out the squad are: Barry Foote, tail'd base; Mark Moye, outfielder; Joe vanish, outfielder; Robert Sigmon, out fielder; and Benny Hatcher, outfielder. ^--ack David Overby and Harry Hopkins ^ere the team's managers.
