You can explore these questions doting a Christmas 1865 Tour of the Vance House Museum Sunday, Dec. 14 from 1-7 p.m. The tour will be offered to the public on a donation basis. In each room, an interpreter will discuss the story of the Christmas season immediately following four years of terrible war and the hardships faced by local citizens. The house win be decorated in a style befitting the 1865 time period and men and women will be in period costumes.
