Simmons and Dagenhart Exchange Wedding Vows
Mr and Mrs. Spencer Dagenhart
Crystal Lynn Simmons and
Spencer Paul Dagenhardt, both of
Statesville were joined in marriage
April 24 in a candlelight ceremony
at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in
Olin. Reverend Gary Marshall
officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.
An arrangement of white roses
was placed on the first pew in
memory of the bride’s grandpar
ents and the groom’s grandfathers.
Hie bride is the daughter of Robert
and Joy Simmons of Statesville.
She is the granddaughter of the
late Garland and Eva Hooker of
Mt. Airy and the late Robert and
Bessie Simmons of Statesville.
Lifelong honorary grandmother of
the bride, Ms. Vono Suther of
Troutman, was unable to attend.
The groom is the son of Wayne
and Rita Dagenhardt of Statesville.
He is the grandson of Sarah
Sprinkle and the late Spencer
Sprinkle of Statesville and Avis
Dagenhardt and the late Paul
Dagenhardt of Troutman.
The bnde was escorted by her
father, Robert Simmons.
The bride’s mother, Joy Simmons,
was matron of honor. Miss Traci
Gryder was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Teresa
Hamm and Mrs. Teresa Summers,
friends of the bride. Attendants
wore deep lilac gowns and carried
white and purple silk roses. The
bride’s mother wore a two-piece
blue gown and carried white and
purple silk roses. The groom’s
mother wore a two-piece plum
gown and had a corsage of two
rose buds. The bride carried a bou
quet of white and purple silk roses.
The father of the groom served as
best man.
Groomsmen were Travis Dagenhardt,
brother of the groom and Jason
Goodin, friend of the groom.
Music was provided by soloists
Miss Kim Austin, Mrs. Amy
Goodman and Mr. Brent Mason
and by pianist Mrs. Cheryl
Sprinkle. Ms. Chris Spillane was
the wedding director and Mrs.
Angela Goodin and Miss Hilary
Reavis registered guests.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by
the parents of the groom in Mount
Vemon Baptist Church Fellowship
Hall.
A reception was hosted by the
bride’s parents with the assistance
of aunts, uncles and friends of both
the bride and groom. The groom’s
aunt baked and decorated a satellite
cake with white and purple flowers.
The bride is a graduate of North
Iredell High School and Mitchell
Community College where she
received a degree in information
systems and computer program
ming. She is employed by Mitchell
Community College in Statesville
as a program assistant.
