IREDELL CITIZEN
The 64th annual Statesville District Junior Dairy Show was held
recently at the Iredell County Fairgrounds and attracted exhibitors from nine
counties. Over 150 cows were shown with breeds ranging from Brown Swiss
and Ayrshire to Guernsey and Jersey.
And what would a Dairy Show be without the Holstein. Dalton Winters
brought a spring calf Holstein and left with a blue ribbon.
Iredell County Sarah Watts showed her Jersey Jr. Grand Champion, and won
2nd out of 15 showing in fitting and showmanship in overall breeds.
Other Iredell County exhibitors included Cooper, Daniel, Hadden, and Alexa
McAuley, Elissa Houchins, Daniel Pugh, Amy Lackey, Daphne and Brenna
Houchins, Justin Hardin and Lindsay Ullrich. KldS Page On 22
